Brown Butter Supper Club has a singular mission. We want to take the elegant experience of fine restaurant dining and bring it to your door.
BBSC’s founders, Diana and Annabel, have more than a generation of combined experience cooking in the kitchens of some of the city’s best eateries. The Covid epidemic, however, derailed that path. Unexpectedly, the disruption also helped them find a renewed purpose. Being a chef was not merely a profession. It was a mission
For Diana and Annabel, BBSC allows them the chance to rejoice and to support their broader Brooklyn community. Their vow is simple. Every month, with every menu, BBSC will donate part of its proceeds to charity. To date BBSC has supported: The Liberty Fund, Tarab NYC, and community fridges to name a few.
Diana Freedman is a Johnson & Wales graduate with a degree in the culinary arts. She has worked in restaurants all over the East coast including Gramercy Tavern and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. Diana loves any acidic and spicy cuisine that allows condiments to be added.
Annabel Sharahy attended school at the Institute of Culinary Education while working at Manzo Ristorante in Eataly. Later she went on to work at Eleven Madison Park (as well as their Hamptons pop ups), and Gunter Seeger. Annabel has an appreciation for the crispy burnt bits of dishes, and deeply loves generic fruity popsicles.
At BBSC, there is a firm belief in sustainable and ethical cooking. At the end of the day we only have one Earth and one body so we want to make sure we treat both right.
Annabel and Diana are both ServSafe certified with our food handlers permits for New York State. We are confident our abilities to cater to every allergy and dietary restriction.
